The iraca palm is a vegetable fiber used in different parts of Colombia for handcraft - artisanal production. Its scientific name is "Carludovica palmata", but commonly, in addition to being known as iraca, it receives other names such as: paja toquilla, jipijapa, cestillo, lucuma and palmiche, among others.

Iraca palm is used to create traditional hats, bags, purses, chests, necklaces, earrings, jewelry sets, among others.
